Living in Chicago means living for the summer – especially when it’s snowy and below zero for two weeks straight in miserable March. But fall is in the air and, for some reason, I can’t wait! Bring on lazy weekends spent watching football, apple-picking (a must), changing leaves, and my personal fave, fall fashion.
The top of my must-have list this year is a leather jacket. After two years of watching hipsters and fashion plates pull off the look effortlessly, I’m jumping in. I’m in love with this Vince Scuba jacket. The draping, color, everything! Sadly, my landlord likes to receive a rent check every month, so it’s not in my fashion cards this year. I found a few more affordable options that I’ll be checking out instead.

This BB Dakota jacket is the closest I came when scouring the internet for a to-die-for Vince lookalike. I’ve always had a thing for BB Dakota because of the low price point and trendy options. It may be a little too trendy though, with the oversized collar.

I found this Limited Moto Jacket and like the cut – streamlined and not overly biker-chick. It could be a closet staple for a few years with the simple detailing and color. And at $128, I will definitely be making a trip to Michigan Ave. to try it on.

Thoughts on which one I should get, minus the glorious but sadly out of my price range Vince jacket? Oh, and be prepared for me to take back my “bring on fall” wish in about two months.
