I've stumbled across a few great blush options throughout my never-ending search for the perfect makeup. When it comes to what I look for in a blush, I need something with staying power that help me look perky and radiant.  A little known blush trick is applying putting a quick swipe of blush on the tip of my nose and chin, as it draws light and helps contour the face.

Nars Orgasm is the ultimate blush. Preferred by makeup artists, celebs and real women, it has the faintest amount of shimmer and "subtle pink for natural blush undertone, created to highlight the complexion."  It can be quickly swept on in the morning for a daytime look, or layered for a more dramatic evening face. Maybelline's Dream Mousse Blush is perfectly portable. Because it can be applied with your finger (clean please!), it is a great option for mid-day touch-ups. The color goes on smoothly and blends well, and the texture is very mousse-like. At $5.99, it's a handbag staple you can't miss.

O-Glow by Smashbox has acquired quite a few followers over the years, including me. The kitchy name and intriguing technology had me excited to try it a few years ago when it came out at Sephora.  All that's needed is a pea-size amount of clear gel for perfect daytime color, especially in the hot summer.
